Larissa Ione- Ecstasy Unveiled (book 4)

Ok are you ready because I am seriously about to gush about this book- LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT. I have to say this is by far one of my favorite series ever and that is saying a lot because I really like a lot of series and authors. Lore is a Seminus Demon just like his brothers but he is half human, this is almost unheard with the Seminus demons because most human woman can not carry the demon child. So we met Lore in the previous book when he was hired as the assassin to kill his brothers but once he found out who they were he did not do it. Now he was hired again to kill Kynan but little does he know that Ky has a “guardian Angel” watching over him since he became immortal. Lore thought that he was in love with Gem who is married to Ky now so he thinks that if he gets rid of him he can then have her. Lore needs to do this kill to get his freedom from the Assassin Master that holds his contract. But the main reason he wants to do this kill is to save his twin sister- Yep I said it- Twin sister- now as rare as human & Seminus demons are a Female Sem has never been know to be. So after thirty years this will make his 100th mark and if completed Lore and his sister Sin, who is also an assassin will both be free. Sin is given her own target, a Were who happens to have the same guardian angel as Ky. This angel is Idess, she is an earthbound angel who hopes to one day earn her wings and go to heaven with her brother. Idess wears a tattoo like mark on her arm of her that she can feel her charge through- when Ky is in danger of Lore attacking him she flashes to them and fights Lore. Tayla shows up and shots her with a poisonous arrow, but not before Idess is able to knock Ky out. Lore picks her up and takes her to UGH where she is treated by the brothers. The brothers don’t know that she is not a fallen angel and treat her like the threat to Ky instead of the real threat who is Lore. Idess is mended and she leaves but she then kidnaps Lore to protect Ky. Now let’s understand how HOT and funny Lore is- I swear I was laughing out loud with this demon. He is a sex demon with NO game!! He can kill with one thought or one touch from his hand/arm so he wears long sleeves and a glove on that hand. Don’t get me wrong- the demon has sex but he usually doesn’t “finish” with them or he would kill them if he did. Idess is an angel that does not have sex anymore- but she did when she thought she was human though- lol. So she has him chained to her bed and he needs sex at least a few times a day- get the picture on where this is going??? He tries to seduce him into letting him go- lol. Well he does get free but ends up chaining her to the bed instead. This whole time the ghost at the UGH are acting out and doing bad things to medical equipment at the hospital but no one but Idess can see the ghosts. Idess sees a ghost that asks her for her help so she takes him outside the hospital- come to find out it is the other brother Roag that everyone thought was long gone & dead. He is working with someone to cause problems for the bothers. The demons partner turns out to be a fallen angel who is Idess brother who she thought was in heaven, he is out to get revenge on her for a wrong he thought she did towards him before he got his wings. The two bad brothers kidnap one of Shade’s triplets and blame Lore for it. Once Wraith and Ky find Lore and Idess to kill Lore they have figured out what is going on and who is behind it all. Rogue leads them to Shade’s cave home and there is a huge fight to get the triplet back alive. Idess traps Roag and takes him to her father who happens to be the Grim Reaper- Yep the Angel of Death himself. Idess is told by their father to let go of her guilt about her brother falling that he made his own choices. Idess and Lore get down to business again- I saw again because she had already slept with him knowing it would ruin her chances of becoming a real angel. They actually do the whole bonding sexual ritual and soon after her glyphs show up. After they had sex the first time she is called to Heaven thinking they were going to kill her but instead they do give her wings but she refuses them to be with Lore. Lore and Sin go back to their Master and he agrees to release only one of them and Sin agrees to stay on as an assassin since Lore now has Idess in his life. But Lore thinks that Idess left him to go to heaven to stay, she never explained that she thought she was going to die. Lore somehow gets back into the Master’s cave to help free Sin, Idess shows up and kills the Assassin Master and becomes the new Master- she doesn’t want it so she gives the ring to Sin. Idess is again bonded to Lore; the angels gave her immortality but only to be bonded with Lore. I tried really hard not to tell the whole story but I could not help it, I think this book is a tie with Wraith’s book for me- loved both of them!!!

Larissa Ione- Passion Unleashed (book 3)

Wraith- that name alone should send chills plus tremors up and down your body and if it doesn’t then you need to read this book again. Wraith is the youngest of the three Sem demon brothers, the trouble maker and all around Bad Boy. So there are the two reasons he is my favorite- trouble maker and bad boy- ummm yeah plus his every move just screams- SEXY. He dyes his hair blonde and has piercing blue eyes that he was not born with; the yummy chocolate brown eyes were gouged out by vampires. Wraith is half Sem and half vampire, the only demon of those two breeds known to the Demon world. His demon father raped and impregnated his mother while she was being turned into a vampire and held her in a coma like state for nine months while she was pregnant with Wraith. Once he was born, his father took off leaving his mother to torture him for the next twenty years until he escaped. Her vampire clan tracked him down and tortured him for two days before his Brothers could save him. Wraith has been killing vampires ever since. He refuses to have sex with vampires or human females. He works with his brothers at UGH as an artifact hunter, E needs something, Wraith finds it- kinda like a Vampire/Demon Indiana Jones.
So, Roag hired two assassins to kill the brothers in the event that he dies, so one of them shoots Wraith with a poisonous dart and the only thing that can save him, that the Brothers can come up with, is a amulet and charm that is being worn by a human female, Serena. Serena is being guarded/taken care of by a high ranking Aegis member. She is like a female version of Wraith with her job; she is a treasure hunter also. The amulet that she wears is a small piece of Heaven that protects her from harm. Her charm is only active if she remains a virgin and she has to actually give her virginity to someone to pass the charm to them. Ok going quick now, Serena flies off to find a coin and tablet, Wraith pretends to be an ex-Aegis Guardian (Josh) to seduce her to get her charm, he is sick and dying slowly but they fall for each other, he discovers that along with the hospital being destroyed his brothers are dying too, he refuses to take Serena’s virginity, she gives it to him anyway, a big bad Fallen Angel takes her amulet, brothers and friends come to save Serena and to fight in the big war going down between humans and all demons, Ky does his part to help Wraith win (maybe), and many other surprises pop up in the book, I am NOT going to spill the beans and tell them all. Ky returns, he and Gem decide to date, they break up and might get a HEA (not telling again). The ending of this book had me in tears…..but good happy tears!!

Larissa Ione- Desire Unchained (book 2)

Holy Cow, what can I say about Shade except WOW. Yeah everyone knows I love the dark haired, smart assed men but boy oh boy this Demon is something else. Of course Shade is a Seminus demon but his mother was an Umber demon so his gift he received from her was the ability to sense female’s guilt and darkness. So what does good old Shade do, he helps them through it all with a little BDSM, he has every whip and pleasure-torture device known to man and demon. This part of himself he hides well from Wraith but Eidolon knows all about it and his little sex cave in Central America. So let’s get into it, Shade dates women, he prefers humans or humanoid looking demons, so he was dating Runa who is human but he felt she was getting clingy so he decided to cheat on her- yep he was in bed with two demons and she walked in- just an FYI, I would have been pissed- no running out the door for me- more like throwing things first then running out the door. Runa runs from his apartment and runs smack into Luc, a Werewolf that works with Shade, but he is running from The Aegis so to keep her from screaming he bites her and dumps her body thinking he killed her. Of course Runa didn’t die, so almost a year later she comes back looking for Shade and she gets kidnapped outside his apartment. We can all guess who kidnapped her, yep it is Roag, but he also kidnapped Shade and his Umber sister Skulk. Shade wakes up chained up in the dungeon with Runa, who is pissed off at him, but he needs her help and of course she helps him but by mistake turns him into a Warg. Roag does some terrible things to all of them but they escape and Shade takes Runa to his sex cave. I’ve got to jump around a little so I don’t give a lot more of the story away, Shade can be mated but because of a curse put on him over eighty years ago he can not fall in love without loosing everything. Runa admits she is still in love with him and he is starting to fall in love with her but can not admit it to himself or to her, Roag jumps back into the picture and kidnaps Shade, Runa, Eidolon and Wraith but others come to save the day. You have to read the book if you want to know if Runa and Shade are each others HEA, you might be surprised. Now the whole time that Shade and Runa’s story was going on, Kynan and Gem (Tayla’s sister) were wanting and trying to hook up- he is still so hurt and hung up on what his dead wife did to him he can’t see what is right in front of his face. She has been in love with him for years, Wraith talks to him to try to show him the right thing to do but Ky only has room for sex in his life not love- Puuuleez dude!! He is so jealous of every other man around her it’s kinda funny. So Ky asked Wraith to drink from him and the first time goes ok, Wraith takes blood from his wrist but the second time he went straight for the throat and it was just too funny to me- I think it was one of the best scenes and lines from the book and I quote…”I’ll bet he doesn’t volunteer to do that again” Shade muttered

Larissa Ione- Pleasure Unbound (book 1)

Well this series was recommended to me and I trusted this woman’s judgment on books and let me tell you I was NOT disappointed with this book- Wowza what a great book. Ok to break it down a little, there are three demon brothers; Eidolon, Shade and Wraith, each are Seminus demons. Seminus demons are a breed of Incubus demons. All the Sems are born male, but each has a different demon breed for a Mother. Their mothers are usually a demon the Sem has shape shifted into to trick the female so they can impregnate them. Following me so far?? Eidolon is now the oldest brother because Roag the oldest was killed by The Aegis Guardians. The Aegis are a group of human demon hunters that think they are doing the world a favor by killing demons. Eidolon is a doctor at a hospital that he and his brother Shade founded, Underground General, which is where he first meets Tayla. Tayla is a hunter/slayer for The Aegis; she comes in wounded (UGH usually does not treat humans) after fighting a few demons in the sewer. Eidolon knows what Tayla is and she also knows he is a demon. Wraith the youngest brother has the ability to slip into the minds of humans so he slipped into Tayla’s (as a joke) to get her worked up about having sex with Eidolon. Being the Seminus demons the brothers are always having sex with females, Wraith is the only one that will not have sex with humans but Shade and Eidolon both do. When Sem demons turn 100 years old they go through The Change that turns them into extremely bad sex demons- LOL what they go through with The Change is they become fertile and want to impregnate any female around, they will actually shift into any demon they can just to get close to the female to have sex and the only thing that can stop this change is being mated. While treating Tayla, E discovers she is half demon but he also begins to fall in love with her. So much happens in this book but it is not so much that you get lost from following the other characters. I could write so much more about this story but this blog would be a full page long so I am just going to say- Read The BOOK- you will not be disappointed!!!

Sometimes I love the bad boys. I hope in the future to read a story about Urian (Stryker's son).

Acheron - Sherrilyn Kenyon

This is the first time I have ever added a personal note to one of my reviews. When I sat down to write about this story, I really had trouble. No words seem to fit the depth of feelings and emotions that come from reading about this character. First starting the Dark Hunter series, Immortal Hellion convinced me that I should go in order. It was hard at times, but now I am glad that I took her advise. By the time I got to Acheron, there was just enough background that my mind was begging for more. So many unanswered questions, so many dark and shadowed points, that can drive a person to insanity if the truth isn't revealed. Without a doubt, this is by far one of the best characters I have ever read about.

Their futures turn to understand and cherish a purpose they believed impossible to a achieve. A journey sated with love and sacrifice is something neither wanted, yet both clung to with a dying breath. The ultimate gift, a life, a soul, for the one that fills your heart with warmth and emotion of devoted love is a small price to pay in the end.

Giving Sin the key to evoke permanent death, she entrusts that he will understand he now also holds the key to her heart that loves him, with pure honestly and without reservation.

To turn away from this woman that wishes to give everything, even her life to save him, or break down the walls of protection he has built around his heart and do what he swore he would never do again,...trust.

With a good head on her shoulders, she is not influenced and persuades Alexion to try and see the good in the doubted Dark Hunters before condemning then forever. With only a few short days together they are able to save most of the uncertain while their hearts merge into a love that can never be. As the end nears and they struggle to rescue their brothers in jeopardy a sword slices the heart of the one true love Alexion has ever known.
